Blue Origin

Blue Origin is an American aerospace company developing the New Glenn reusable rocket. The company will land the New Glenn first stage downrange in the ocean and return it to Florida for re-use.

Blue Origin originally planned to land the first stage on a converted ferry that it had previously purchased but this plan was abandoned in 2022 and the ship was sent to be scrapped. Blue Origin then pivoted and constructed a bespoke barge-based landing platform.
