This is a carefully selected list of significant former ships. It’s important to note that this list is not exhaustive, as SpaceX has utilized a considerable number of ships during more than 10 years of offshore operations.

Ms. Tree

Fast, maneuverable vessel that was previously modified to catch fairing halves. Retired in 2021.

Ms. Chief

Fast, maneuverable vessel that was previously modified to catch fairing halves. Retired in 2021.

Just Read the Instructions (OG Edition)

Original experimental droneship with the same name as one of the current active ASDS’s. Retired in 2015 after several (failed) test landings.

GO Quest

Droneship support vessel used by SpaceX for over 10 years in the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. Retired in 2023.

Phobos

NRC Quest
